Data Task Force

The Data Task Force examined how Hawaii collects, manages, and uses government data to improve public services and policy decisions, developing nā ʻōlelo aʻoaʻo on data quality standards, open data publication, and the infrastructure needed to support data-driven governance. It brought together agency data stewards, technical experts, and policy leaders to identify priorities for Hawaii's data ecosystem. Its work contributed to the state's evolving open data and data governance policies.

The task force's nā ʻōlelo aʻoaʻo determine how transparently Hawaii government data is published and how effectively agencies can use data to solve public problems. ʻO nā kānaka rely on government data for research, journalism, or civic engagement benefit from strong open data standards.
