Hawaii Interagency Council on Homelessness (HICH)

The Hawaii Interagency Council on Homelessness (HICH) is the primary state-level body coordinating the Housing First and other evidence-based approaches to reducing homelessness across Hawaii. It aligns federal and state funding streams, tracks data on homeless populations, and coordinates among nā keʻena mokuʻāina, counties, and nonprofit providers. HICH helps ensure Hawaii's approach to homelessness is integrated and evidence-informed.

The strategies coordinated through HICH determine how state and federal dollars are spent on homeless services and permanent supportive housing in Hawaii. Community members and service providers can participate in stakeholder engagement processes and ka manaʻo lehulehu periods.
