The Kahaluu Neighborhood Board (Board 29) is one of 36 neighborhood boards in Honolulu. It holds monthly public meetings where residents can discuss community concerns, hear updates from city and state agencies, and provide input on issues affecting their neighborhood.
What This Neighborhood Board Does
Kahaluu Neighborhood Board No. 29 is one of 33 elected neighborhood boards on O'ahu operating under the Neighborhood Commission Office, representing the Kahaluu area of Ko'olaupoko on the windward side. It reviews land use applications, development proposals, and City and County infrastructure plans that affect Kahaluu, and forwards community resolutions to the Mayor and City Council. The board holds monthly public meetings where residents can raise concerns about local issues such as flooding, traffic, and shoreline access.
