Mauna Kea Stewardship and Oversight Authority

The Mauna Kea Stewardship and Oversight Authority was established by the Hawaii Legislature to take over management of Mauna Kea from the University of Hawaii, with a mandate to balance astronomy, cultural rights, and conservation on the mountain.
