Mokapu Neighborhood Board (NB 33)
The Mokapu Neighborhood Board (Board 33) is one of 36 neighborhood boards in Honolulu. It holds monthly public meetings where residents can discuss community concerns, hear updates from city and state agencies, and provide input on issues affecting their neighborhood.
What This Neighborhood Board Does
Mokapu Neighborhood Board No. 33 is one of 33 elected neighborhood boards on O'ahu under the Neighborhood Commission Office, serving the Mokapu Peninsula communities on the windward coast, including Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii and surrounding residential areas. It reviews City planning and infrastructure proposals affecting the peninsula and coordinates community engagement on issues unique to a military-adjacent community. Meetings address access, traffic, and the relationship between the military installation and surrounding civilian neighborhoods.
