Office of Planning

The Office of Planning and Sustainable Development serves as the principal planning agency for the State of Hawaii, preparing the Hawaii State Plan and functional plans covering land use, transportation, housing, and ka hoʻomohala waiwai. Hoʻoponopono ʻia the state's Coastal Zone Management Program, coordinates state participation in county land use proceedings, and provides planning data and analysis to nā keʻena mokuʻāina and ke Kiaʻāina.
