What This Board Does

The Office of Wellness and Resilience coordinates statewide efforts to improve the mental, physical, and community well-being of Hawaii residents, developing cross-agency strategies for addressing trauma, suicide prevention, and health equity. It works across departments to align wellness programs, reduce fragmentation in behavioral health and prevention services, and build community resilience. The office advises the Governor on population health and well-being policy and may coordinate the state's response to mental health crises.
