State Na Ala Hele Advisory Council

The State Na Ala Hele Advisory Council advises the Division of Forestry and Wildlife on management of the Na Ala Hele trail and access system, which maintains and expands public access to hiking trails on state lands across Hawaii. The council reviews trail plans, prioritizes maintenance and new trail construction, and helps balance public recreation access with resource protection in Hawaii's natural areas. It provides community input into decisions about one of Hawaii's most popular public recreation resources.
