Trauma-Informed Care Task Force ACT 209

The Trauma-Informed Care Task Force, established under Act 209, develops nā ʻōlelo aʻoaʻo for implementing trauma-informed approaches across Hawaii's nā keʻena mokuʻāina, schools, and social service systems. The task force examines how unresolved trauma affects health, behavior, and life outcomes and recommends training, policy changes, and system reforms to ensure that government services recognize and respond to trauma without re-traumatizing individuals.
