El Comité de Agua e Infraestructura revisa la legislación que afecta al Departamento de Abastecimiento de Agua de Maui, los sistemas de aguas residuales, los programas de desechos sólidos y el mantenimiento general de la infraestructura. Considera estructuras de tarifas de agua, proyectos de capital para mejoras del sistema de agua y la respuesta del condado a la sequía y las preocupaciones sobre la disponibilidad de agua en las tres islas.

El agua es un recurso crítico y limitado en Hawaii. Este comité toma decisiones que afectan las tarifas del agua, quién tiene acceso prioritario durante condiciones de sequía y cómo el condado invierte en infraestructura antigua.
