Workforce Development Council

The Hawaii Workforce Development Council is the state's federally required workforce policy body under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), responsible for developing and overseeing the state's unified ka hoʻomohala poʻe hana plan. The council advises the governor on aligning education, training, and employment services to meet employer needs and help job seekers — me ka those facing barriers to employment — access good jobs.
