Workforce Development Council

Ang Hawaii Workforce Development Council is the state's federally required workforce policy body under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), responsible for developing and overseeing the state's unified workforce development plan. The council advises the governor on aligning education, training, and employment services to meet employer needs and help job seekers — kabilang ang those facing barriers to employment — access good jobs. Pinangangasiwaan nito ang the American Job Center network and evaluates performance of federally funded workforce programs statewide.
