Workforce Development Council

The Hawaii Workforce Development Council is 該州's federally required workforce policy body under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), responsible for developing and overseeing 該州's unified workforce development plan. The council advises 州长 on aligning education, training, and employment services to meet employer needs and help job seekers — including those facing barriers to employment — access good jobs. It oversees the American Job Center network and evaluates performance of federally funded workforce programs 全州.

The Workforce Development Council shapes the training and employment services available to Hawaii job seekers, including those who are unemployed, underemployed, or seeking to change careers. Job seekers, employers, and training providers can engage with the council and access workforce services through Hawaii's American Job Centers.
