What's Being Discussed

The Kāneʻohe Bay Regional Council is holding a meeting on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. You can attend in person at Windward Community College (Hale Na'auao, Room 125) or join online via Zoom.

The main agenda item is a Temporary Committee review of draft recommendations from the Kāneʻohe Bay Master Plan. The committee will focus on two specific topics:

• Public Access and Open Space — reviewing recommendations about how the public can access and use land and water areas around Kāneʻohe Bay
• Fishpond and Stock Enhancement — reviewing recommendations related to traditional Hawaiian fishponds and efforts to replenish fish populations in the bay

No votes or formal decisions are expected at this meeting. Both agenda items are listed as non-action items, meaning this is a discussion and review session only.
