What's Being Discussed

The Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification (SAVIN) Governance Committee is meeting on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Finance Factors Building in Honolulu. SAVIN is a service that automatically notifies crime victims about changes in an offender's custody status. The main topics include:

• Meeting minutes review from the May 8, 2026 meeting

• SAVIN reorganization — a status update on the coordination office and any unfilled staff positions
• SAVIN funding — a review of current revenue and future financial outlook
• Other business, including a discussion about the VINE notification system (the technology platform behind SAVIN) and plans for a Justice Reinvestment workgroup to reconvene in October 2026
