What's Being Discussed
This is a meeting of the Plans and Projects Review Committee (PPRC), a subcommittee of the Policy Advisory Board for Elder Affairs (PABEA). PABEA advises the State's Executive Office on Aging, which supports services for older adults in Hawaiʻi. The meeting will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., both in person at 250 South Hotel Street, Suite 406, Honolulu, and via Zoom.

Introductions among committee members
Review of the PPRC's official purpose as defined in the committee's bylaws
Discussion of member roles and responsibilities
Conversation about topics most useful for new and returning members to explore
Review of the committee's goals for 2026
Public testimony from community members

Decisions Expected

Approval of minutes from the previous meeting held on June 5, 2026
At the next meeting on September 4, 2026, the committee plans to elect a Vice-Chair and discuss follow-up questions raised at this meeting
Future work will include advising on the next edition of the Hawaiʻi State Plan on Aging (2023–2027)

Older adults and their families who rely on or are interested in state aging services
Community advocates working on elder affairs issues
PABEA members, who are reminded they must join at least one committee
Anyone wishing to provide public testimony on aging-related programs and policies
