The Community-Based Economic Development (CBED) Advisory Council is holding a one-hour meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The council will cover the following topics:

• Approving meeting minutes from May 19, 2026 and July 28, 2026
• A proposed $75,000 loan to To Be Hawaiʻi, a Maui-based natural personal care company that sources ingredients from local Maui farms and manufactures products in Wailuku. The loan would help the company purchase equipment and cover working costs as it grows from small-batch production to larger-scale manufacturing.
• Electing a new Chairperson for the CBED Advisory Council
• Reviewing and potentially updating the CBED EDA Revolving Loan Plan, which guides how the council manages and distributes its loan funds
