Meeting minutes: The Board will review and approve the record from its July 9, 2026 meeting.
Dissolving draft rules working groups: Four small working groups (called Permitted Interaction Groups) were formed to help draft new rules covering law enforcement certification, training, conduct, and disciplinary procedures. The Board will formally close out these groups now that their work is complete.
Job Task Analysis Request for Proposals (RFP): The Board will review a revised document used to hire an outside contractor to conduct a Job Task Analysis — a study that helps define the skills and knowledge required for law enforcement officers in Hawaii.
Selecting RFP evaluators: The Board will choose three of its members to review and score proposals submitted in response to the Job Task Analysis RFP.
Hiring committee for Administrative Manager: The Board will appoint two members to help evaluate candidates for an open staff position within the Board.
