What's Being Discussed

• The Malu Project: The committee will receive an update on this OHA initiative, covering where things stand with implementation, what activities are currently underway, and what comes next.
• Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument and Sanctuary: The committee will meet privately with its attorneys to discuss possible legal action related to protecting resources at this sacred and ecologically significant site in Northwestern Hawaiʻi. This portion of the meeting is closed to the public by law.
• Approval of past meeting minutes from March, April, and May 2026, including some minutes from prior closed sessions.
• Community concerns and celebrations: An open opportunity for the public to raise any topic, not limited to the agenda.

Decisions Expected

• A vote to approve minutes from four previous meetings (March 18, April 15, April 29, and May 13, 2026).
• A vote to approve closed-session minutes from April 29 and June 24, 2026.
• Possible direction or next steps discussed regarding the Malu Project.

• Native Hawaiian beneficiaries of OHA who are interested in advocacy programs and how OHA represents their interests.
• Anyone concerned about Papahānaumokuākea and the protection of its cultural and natural resources.
