What's Being Discussed

The Research Corporation of the University of Hawaiʻi (RCUH) Board of Directors is holding a brief meeting on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in person at the East-West Center in Honolulu and is also available to join online via Zoom. The agenda includes only a few items:

• Appointing an Audit Committee Chair and Member — The board will select who will lead and serve on its internal audit oversight committee.
• Closed (Executive) Session — The board will meet privately to conduct the annual evaluation of the Executive Director, as permitted under Hawaii state law (HRS §92-5(a)(2)). The public is not permitted in this portion of the meeting.

Decisions Expected

• A formal vote to appoint the Audit Committee Chair and at least one committee member.
• The Executive Director evaluation will occur in closed session — no public vote is expected on this item.

• University of Hawaiʻi researchers and staff whose projects are administered through RCUH, as board leadership decisions can affect organizational oversight.
