Bill 108 (2026)\, entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING\nSECTION 2.80B.070\, MAUI COUNTY CODE\, TO ADOPT THE\nUPDATED SOUTH MAUI COMMUNITY PLAN.” Bill 108’s purpose is\nto repeal the Kihei-Makena Community Plan\, as amended\, and adopt\nthe proposed South Maui Community Plan.\n2. Correspondence dated August 4\, 2026\, from the Planning Director\,\ntransmitting the following:\na. A proposed bill to repeal the Kihei-Makena Community Plan\, as\namended\, and adopt the proposed South Maui Community Plan.\nb. A document entitled “DRAFT SOUTH MAUI COMMUNITY PLAN.”\nc. Other related documents\, including matrices that show:\ni. Changes made to the South Maui Community Plan throughout\nits development\; and\nii. An individual’s request to testify shall be deemed withdrawn if the individual\ndoes not answer when called to testify. Testimony must pertain to items on the meeting agenda. Testifiers must direct their\nremarks to the presiding officer and not to any individual Councilmember or individual in the audience.\nIf audiovisual connection is lost at the official location for in-person testimony and viewing\, the committee will be in recess for\nup to 30 minutes to restore connectivity. If connectivity cannot be restored within 30 minutes\, the meeting will automatically\nreconvene the following Tuesday at 9 a.m.\, at the same official location for in-person testimony and viewing\, unless the\nCommittee announces a different date\, time\, and location.\nIf a meeting participant wishes to testify anonymously\, they should log in to the meeting with an appropriate anonymous name\nand virtually raise their hand.
