What's Being Discussed

This is a reconvened meeting of the Maui County Council's Disaster Recovery, International Affairs, and Planning (DRIP) Committee, originally scheduled for September 15, 2026. The meeting continues work on one main item:

• Bill 108 (2026) – South Maui Community Plan Update: The committee will review a proposal to replace the older Kihei-Makena Community Plan with a new South Maui Community Plan. This plan sets long-term goals and policies for land use, development, and community priorities in the South Maui region. The session will focus specifically on Section 2: Policy Framework of the draft plan.

The committee may also hold a closed (executive) session to consult with legal counsel on confidential legal matters related to this bill.
