Resolution\n26-147\, entitled\n“AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF\nKATHLEEN PLATT vs. COUNTY OF MAUI\, ET AL.\; CIVIL CASE\n2CCV-25-0003688.”\nResolution 26-147’s purpose is to approve\nsettlement of the claim filed on October 8\, 2025. The claim alleges\nnegligence and premises liability from an incident that occurred on\nMarch 8\, 2024\, at Kulamalu Park in Pukalani\, Hawai‘i.\n2. Correspondence dated August 24\, 2026\, from the Department of the\nCorporation Counsel\, transmitting the proposed resolution and a copy\nof the complaint.\nStatus: The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of\nResolution 26-147\, with or without revisions. Testifiers must direct their\nremarks to the presiding officer and not to any individual Councilmember or individual in the audience.\nIf audiovisual connection is lost at the official location for in-person testimony and viewing\, the committee will be in recess for\nup to 30 minutes to restore connectivity.
