The Hawaii Department of Transportation manages the state's highways, airports, and harbors — the three transportation systems that connect Hawaii's communities and islands. It plans and funds capital improvements to roads, bridges, and harbor facilities; oversees the airports that connect Hawaii to the world; and regulates aviation and maritime activities in state jurisdiction.
