EPSDT Advisory Board

The Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) Advisory Board advises Hawaii's Medicaid program on the delivery of preventive and comprehensive health services to children and adolescents enrolled in Med-QUEST. EPSDT is a federal mandate requiring states to provide periodic screenings, immunizations, dental, vision, hearing, and other necessary services to Medicaid-eligible children. The board reviews Hawaii's compliance and recommends improvements to outreach and service delivery.

Hawaii children enrolled in Medicaid are entitled to a comprehensive set of health services under EPSDT, and this board helps ensure those services are actually delivered. Parents of Med-QUEST enrolled children can learn about available benefits and provide feedback on program gaps.
