Policy Committee on Planning, Land Use, and Economic Development

The Policy Committee on Planning, Land Use, and Economic Development of the Hawaii County Council reviews zoning ordinances, general plan amendments, community development plan updates, and economic development initiatives for the Big Island. It considers major land-use changes, affordable housing ordinances, and the county's long-range planning framework. The committee coordinates with the county Planning Department and Planning Commissions on land policy.
