State Council on Mental Health

The State Council on Mental Health advises the Hawaii Sở Y tế's Adult Mental Health Division on the planning, development, and evaluation of mental health services for adults statewide. The council reviews the state mental health plan, monitors service delivery, and makes recommendations on policy priorities and funding to improve the system of care for people with serious mental illness. It includes consumers, family members, providers, and community representatives.

The mental health system this council helps shape serves thousands of Hawaii adults with serious psychiatric conditions, including many who are homeless or involved in the criminal justice system.
