이 의회의 역할

하와이 주 발달 장애 계획 위원회는 하와이 내 발달 장애가 있는 사람들의 독립성, 생산성, 통합 및 포용성을 향상시키기 위한 5개년 목표를 설정하는 발달 장애에 관한 주 계획을 개발하고 모니터링합니다. 이 위원회는 발달 장애 지원 및 권리 장전법에 따라 연방 정부의 위임을 받았으며 옹호, 역량 구축 및 체계적 변화 활동을 지원하기 위해 연방 자금을 지원받습니다. 발달 장애가 있는 사람들이 지역 사회에서 온전한 삶을 살 수 있도록 정책 개혁과 서비스 개선을 옹호합니다.

왜 관심을 가져야 하는지

발달 장애인과 그 가족은 협의회와 협력하여 모든 섬에 걸쳐 서비스, 옹호 및 정책을 추진하는 주 계획을 수립할 수 있습니다. 위원회의 활동은 하와이 장애인의 자립 생활, 취업, 지역사회 참여를 지원하는 프로그램에 영향을 미칩니다.
