What's Being Discussed

• Budget review and planning: The committee will look at how money was spent in the current fiscal year (FY2026), get an update on the FY2027 budget, and begin planning the agency's budget for fiscal years 2028 and 2029. Because FY2028 starts a new two-year budget cycle, this planning will cover both years at once.
• Legal services agreement: The committee will consider a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Agribusiness Development Corporation (ADC) and the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General. This agreement would cover payment for legal services related to a specific water pollution discharge permit (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit No. HI-0021952).

Decisions Expected

• The committee is expected to vote on recommending the two-year budget plan (FY2028–2029) to the full Board of Directors.
• The committee is expected to vote on approving the MOU with the Attorney General's office for legal services related to the water discharge permit.
