What's Being Discussed

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) Board of Trustees is holding a special meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. The meeting has one main topic:

• A formal complaint that one or more OHA Trustees may have violated OHA's Code of Conduct policy (Executive Policy, Appendix 7). The Board will first meet privately with its lawyers to discuss the legal aspects of this complaint, then reconvene in an open session to discuss and potentially act on it.

Note: The private (executive) session with legal counsel will be closed to the public, as allowed by Hawaii state law.

Decisions Expected

• After the closed legal consultation, the Board may vote on or take action regarding the conduct complaint against the Trustee(s).
• Possible outcomes could include sanctions or other responses as outlined in OHA's Code of Conduct policy, though the specific outcome will depend on the Board's deliberations.
