What's Being Discussed

The Hawaii State Board of Education's Human Resources Committee will meet on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held in person at the Queen Liliʻuokalani Building, Room 404, in Honolulu, and online via WebEx. The main topics are:

• Approving the minutes from the February 12, 2026 Human Resources Committee meeting
• Reviewing the State Librarian's self-assessment of their own job performance for the 2025–2026 fiscal year
• Discussing and deciding on a process to formally evaluate the State Librarian for the upcoming 2026–2027 fiscal year
• Reviewing the Superintendent's self-assessment of their own job performance for the 2025–2026 fiscal year

Decisions Expected

• A vote to approve the February 2026 meeting minutes
• A vote to adopt a process for evaluating the State Librarian for the 2026–2027 performance year

The committee will also receive and discuss the self-assessments from the State Librarian and the Superintendent, though no formal votes on those reviews are listed at this time.
